More than 2,100 illegal immigrants, several of whom were convicted criminals, were arrested over the month-long operation.
U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Markwayne Mullin announced the results of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Operation Rotten Apple. The operation took place between July 27 and August 29 and resulted in the arrest of nearly 2,200 illegal immigrants in the state of New York, many of whom were convicted violent criminals.
Secretary Mullin stated, “Thanks to the hard work of the men and women of ICE and our federal partners, Operation Rotten Apple… made the Empire State safer. Over the course of this operation, we arrested murderers, rapists, pedophiles, drug traffickers, and violent assailants.”
Border Czar Tom Homan also stated, “ICE’s efforts to remove public safety threats from American communities has contributed to the largest decrease in violent crime in American history.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Secretary Mullin as he oversees the federal enforcement of immigration laws.
- For Border Czar Homan as he works with DHS and ICE to secure America’s borders.
- For the safety of DHS, ICE, and Border Patrol officers as they seek to arrest violent criminal foreign nationals.
